Our Signature Model
The Two-Adult
Classroom Model
At Legends, our youngest scholars benefit from a powerful advantage: two dedicated adults in every K-2 classroom, with strategic support extending into ELA and Math across grade levels.
This is not a traditional aide model. Each classroom has a certified lead teacher and a trained Legends Fellow (AmeriCorps)—working together to provide targeted, high-quality instruction and support.
Legends scholars show up.
In 2025–26, 9.2% of Legends scholars were chronically absent, less than one-third of Prince George’s County’s 28.2%.

Scholars don't just learn about money—they use it, manage it, and grow it. Through our partnership with Equity Now and our OFID model (Open. Fund. Invest. Donate.), students apply for business licenses, launch student-led businesses, and pitch at the annual Legends Shark Tank.
