We feel it is essential to demonstrate – in the boldest way possible – how much we value the work educators do. At Legends, we believe that great educators deserve to be compensated like the professionals they are.
The School Principal is primarily responsible for all activities involving students and faculty at Legends Charter School. The Principal hires, trains, mentors, and develops the faculty. Partners with the Director of School Operations to make key operational and financial decisions for the school. Directly supervises all instructional positions. Ultimately responsible for the implementation of Legends Charter School curriculum and the academic success of all students.
Duties and responsibilities of the Librarian include entailing the application of library knowledge, techniques, and procedures to a variety of library operations, i.e., providing research to ascertain the availability of data in general and special areas, the compiling of bibliographies, the coordination of recommendations for purchases and the selection and purchasing of new materials.
The teacher provides for instruction of students by developing, selecting, and modifying instructional plans and materials and presenting them using instructional techniques which meet the needs of all students. Legends Charter School is seeking motivated content experts to provide instruction in the following subjects from Kindergarten through 8th Grade:
Legends Charter School teachers and administrators must hold or be eligible for a Professional Certificate appropriate to area of assignment issued by the Maryland State Department of Education.
